Carnival Splendor

Wow life on a cruise is just sensational. We are in the port of Puerto Vallarta ATM. Soooooooo hot and humid. We have just finished a feast of tacos nachos and Caronas. We are going to the ships now. We have been eating swimming watching shows and eating and drinking. The kids are just loving the anytime no limit ice cream. We have had to change our itinerary to sail around Hurricane Mirium. So this means only one day (yesterday) at Cabo San Lucas instead of two and now we'll have two days here at Puerto Vallarta. Sorry for no blogging recently but limited expensive paid Internet on ship.

Hollywood

Arrived in Hollywood the day before yesterday. This is the first free wifi we have found. We are currently sitting outside of Starbucks at Farmers Market. Thursday night we all went out for dinner for a surprise bday party for Ashleigh at California Pizza Kitchen. Jenny organized a kids party (for the kids - and paid for them). Adults all sat at different tables. Chris and I both had soft tacos- Chris had fish I had pork. Yesterday was The Performance at Universal Studios. The kids were brilliant. Then we spent the day exploring the park. One of the highlights of the day was seeing the Space Shuttle Endeavour fly overhead (it was being piggy backed by a 747 and flanked by fighter jets). It is retiring to a science centre in LA.
We are embarking on our cruise tomorrow, but I think the Internet is limited and there is no free wifi. So we will check back in after the cruise.

On the train

We are now leaving San Diago after visiting our Aunty Gay and my second cousin (mums cousin) Narelle. We will arive at LA at 5:40, our time and are going out for dinner tonight

We had a great day on the beach with Aunty Gay Narelle and her kids. Emma taught Joshua how to boogie board. Narelle and Aunty Gay packed a great lunch of chicken legs frozen yoghurt fruit and home made choc chip and walnut cookies. We came back to our motel for a quick swim and shower before heading back to Aunty Gay's for tea.

San Diego

Today we are planning to go to Coronardo island to go swimming at the beach. It's nice and hot here, a bit cooler than Las Vegas. Our motel is a block from the beach. We will drive over to Aunty Gay's house so we can follow. Our Dodge Caravan is brilliant! We have named our GPS "Shirley" after our waitress from the 50's themed diner we stopped at driving from Vegas. It's so great to see Aunty Gay once again and fabulous to see our cousin Narelle And her two youngest children. Joshua(5) and Mary (3). By Chris

San Diego

We picked up our Dodge Caravan in Vegas and had a great drive to San Diego. It has been fantastic catching up with Aunty Gay and also our cousin Narelle and her two youngest kids Joshua and Mary. Yesterday we went to The Children's Museum and then over to Balboa Park. The kids splashed and then swam in the fountain. Very funny to watch. Today we are off the the beach.

Circus Circus

Today was Emma's 8th birthday. She woke to pink and purple balloons and streamers everywhere. Her choice today and she chose Circus Circus. Great time was had at the indoor amusement park. After that we hit a great restaurant for dinner- Rainforest Cafe. Now here at McDonalds using free wifi

Day 3

Went on a Gondola ride at the Venetian which was great. Chris, Ben and Emma went in one and Lynda & Brendon in the other. We also found a cool lolly shop there and bought some yummy teats. We are at Fashion Show Mall eating lunch now. Having a great time and walking heaps! Lynda's shoes are killing her!!!
